christine and i got into a conversation about it today... just thought i'd share and let you sit on it yourself for a few moments...

sarah's in town!

so my best best backstreet friend ever was sarah mullaly. i met her in like 98... 99? yes, true to her friendship title... we did meet at a backstreet boys concert. but then one day when we grew up [sort of] and graduated highschool... and college... and still remained friends! more or less because we're shocked anyone was actually friends with us during the "backstreet" phase of our lives. but either way... ive always been close to her and especially when we both lived in florida! she was in tampa and i was in orlando for two years.. so it worked out great. well she's come to town for a week... and tonight she's coming over to my place for dinner and wine! woo hoo.

as i contemplate my cooking options... im thinking spicy chicken. scalloped potatoes. brocolli. and a salad? thats alot! but its pretty quick to make. and i doubt were concerned with food... more on the wine! haha. really i can't wait to see her... in fact the LAST time i saw her was the day i graduated college... which for those who don't know was august of 2006. wow.

this is us from a trip to chicago in 00 or 01? we convinced our moms to get us there... and this is us in the ritz on east pearson street... about 14 here? looking fine as ever... obviously! HA!

spring cleaning in february.

so this weekend i spent two whole days... cleaning organizing scrubbing and folding. As exciting as i know that sounds... it was also grammy weekend. this time last year thomas and edwin were staying with me, i had my 22nd birthday party at red rocks and went to all sorts of grammy shin digs. its amazing to see the difference one year makes.

this year there were half as many celebrations and parties. and what was going on were much smaller private get togethers. nothing extravagant that people were dying to go to... or rather nothing i was dying to go to. the awards themselves and the performances last night were great. love my miley and jonas brothers! shari was in town for the one and only big party... verizon's celebration with timbaland and rihanna. it was just mayhem in itself.

might i add... it was the second night in a row the fire marshall and police showed up to stop all entry into the venue. coldplay themselves were haulted outside in the cold and rain. not the best way to enjoy a party... but good to see shari for 35 seconds.

so this year i opted to spring clean early! phillip and i tested out my new bike saturday afternoon. we went over to langer's. BEST jewish deli in LA i've decided... i'm talking better than nate n al's... shocking. i know. the cole slaw, pickles, patty melt... out of this world for only $15!

despite the great food... we headed back home because i decided to unpack my luggage from the holidays! ha! whats the problem? it's only february! well just so you know... we did get it nearly done... $200 at target later... my shoes and scarves are organized... and the clothes are hung up. impressive. tonight we will swiffer and dust... and ta da. pretty house! just in time for valentine's day...

speaking of... what will i do for that? i would put my ideas for what to do for phillip... but i wonder if he reads this blog?? hmm... that could be a problem. so i'll keep it simple... we're planning dates for each other... and mine will involve a dinner and driving somewhere. that narrowed it down huh? happy almost valentine's day any lovebirds in blogland!

more tomorrow... i'll even include a photo of the new bike if i remember! also... hangs with sarah start on wednesday! she and rob will be here for a week! and renya's birthday on sunday. yes.

this was pure and utter mayhem.

note to self: tis not exciting to go out to hollywood in the rain, please refrain from doing so again. thanks.

late to work.

i've come to the conclusion that it is THE worst feeling in the world when you go from peaceful slumber in your very own bed to sheer panic/heart attack, shooting out of bed to think that you may have just overslept. from that point it can go one of two ways. one: you're merely dreaming this, it's all in your head and its actually 4:55AM... or two: ehh it is actually 8:45AM... remember? the time you're supposed to BE at work. good times. in case you're wondering... today i was part two. ha! i've now safely arrived thirty minutes late. whoops.

i wish i had a really cool story to follow all that now. perhaps a star studded drinking escapade throughout hollywood... that landed me in a cab carried into my bed approx. 3AM... but no. i don't. no star studded hollywood escapade for me. just went to see living things and the eagles of death metal last night... got to catch up with my two favorites, heather and brandon. two bands and one beer later... back home to bed i went.

on another note... i've officially run out of space for my friends at work. these guys kick it with me all day everyday... but my computer monitor just isn't big enough. i will have to get creative with where they can sit and hide.

ALSO. i'm pretty sure my prayers have been answered. well... not completely but i think we've made some big progress! the grammy academy just released a statement that blink-182 will be presenting at the grammy's on sunday. together! they were only THE coolest band in 7th grade! i'm excited. will be great to see them together. now. should we be on the lookout for a world wide tour? [the answer should be yes]

PS- good news. tomorrow is [payday pedicure] friday!

time to get a grammy.

happy free grand slam at denny's day blogland! there is one next to my office... and the line wraps around the block. fun times! the alarm was even set at 5AM for phillip and i to get up and go... but its just not worth it to get up that early! or is it?

so its also grammy week... slightly hectic. ron got here yesterday. shari lands tomorrow. we've all got so much to do our heads may spin off by sunday. so watch out. the best news is that we are even making an appearance at andrew keegan's 30th birthday saturday night. remember him?


well... theres not much time to write... but i did have to post about my latest and greatest purchase. to commemorate my love for dj phillip and the late 1980s early 1990s hip-hop... i have just purchased this speacial time piece! $70 well spent.
